Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Personal Injury Trauma Therapywebsite (the “Site” at personalinjurytraumatherapy.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. We may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
Eligibility
This Site is intended for adults 18 or older (minors only with a parent or guardian). The Site is operated from Georgia, United States, and we do not represent that its content is appropriate for use outside the United States.
Informational only — not medical advice
All content on this Site is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical, psychological, or clinical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not a substitute for professional care. Always seek the advice of a qualified licensed professional, and never disregard or delay seeking it because of something you read here.
No therapist-client relationship
Using the Site, submitting a form, or contacting us about something on the Site does not create a therapist-client or other professional relationship. A clinical relationship begins only after you complete a formal intake, a licensed clinician agrees to provide services, and required consent documents are completed through our secure platform.
Telehealth & state licensure
We provide services exclusively via telehealth, and only to individuals physically located in states where our clinicians are currently licensed — at present, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Indiana, Michigan, Kansas, Kentucky, Florida, and Washington. Licensure may change; it is your responsibility to confirm eligibility when you seek services.
Not for emergencies
The Site is not monitored in real time and is not for emergencies. In an emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. For crisis support, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), available 24/7. You can also text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line).
No guarantee of outcomes
We make no guarantees regarding treatment outcomes. Results vary based on individual circumstances, engagement, and other factors. Nothing on the Site is a promise or prediction of results.
Billing, liens & letters of protection
Information describing our acceptance of attorney liens and letters of protection is general information only — not legal or financial advice, and not a guarantee that such an arrangement will be available to you, that a lien will be satisfied from a settlement, or that any claim will result in a settlement. Availability and enforceability depend on the facts of your matter and applicable law. Please consult your personal- injury attorney before entering into any lien or letter-of-protection agreement.
Intellectual property & acceptable use
All content on the Site is the property of Personal Injury Trauma Therapyor its licensors and is protected by applicable law. You may view the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes; you may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit its content without our written permission. You agree not to use the Site unlawfully, deceptively, to disrupt or gain unauthorized access, to harvest others' information, or to scrape it with automated tools.
Third-party services & links
The Site links to and integrates third-party services, including the SimplePractice client portal and Google sign-in, which are operated by independent companies under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, and a link is not an endorsement.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that its information is accurate or current. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Personal Injury Trauma Therapy and its owners, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Personal Injury Trauma Therapyand its owners, employees, agents, and contractors from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these terms or applicable law, or information you submit that is inaccurate or violates a third party's rights.
Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any concern informally. Any unresolved disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Georgia.
Changes, severability & entire agreement
We may modify these terms by posting a revised version with an updated date. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement regarding your use of this marketing website and do not govern the clinical services relationship, which is governed by separate consent documents and our Notice of Privacy Practices.
Related documents
These Terms work alongside our Privacy Policy, our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy (required for Washington and Nevada residents), and our Accessibility Statement. Protected health information created during your care is governed by HIPAA and the Notice of Privacy Practices you receive when care begins, not by these Terms.
If you use the SimplePractice client portal, that portal is governed by SimplePractice's own terms of service, end user licence agreement, and privacy policy. Those are that vendor's documents, not ours, and they do not replace these Terms.
